C-UAS grant support
Help with the FEMA Counter-UAS Grant Program, both for the twelve jurisdictions already holding FY2026 awards and for agencies preparing for the FY2027 round.
Two different pieces of work sit under this heading, and they have different clocks.
Twelve jurisdictions are holding FY2026 money now and have to obligate and spend it. That is a spending problem, not an application problem. FY2027 is the application problem, and it opens to every state and territory, which means preparation is worth starting before the notice appears rather than in the weeks after it.
Why this is live now
- The programme totals $500M. FEMA awarded the first $250M on 30 December 2025 across twelve recipients.
- FY2026 awards went to California, Texas, the District of Columbia on behalf of the National Capital Region, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Georgia, Washington, New York, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Kansas.
- The remaining $250M is expected in FY2027 with eligibility widening to all states and territories.
- Per FEMA's programme FAQ, allowable costs extend beyond equipment to planning and assessment, professional services, training, exercises, and management and administration.

FAQ
▸Is the FY2026 round still open?
No. Applications closed on 21 November 2025 and FEMA announced the awards on 30 December 2025. What remains live is the spending of those awards, and the FY2027 round, for which no funding notice date has been published yet.
▸Can grant money pay for advisory work, or only equipment?
FEMA's programme FAQ describes allowable costs as including planning and assessment activities, professional services through consultants and contractors, training, exercises, and management and administration. Confirm the precise wording in the funding notice itself before relying on it, because the notice governs and the FAQ only summarises.
▸Who actually applies?
The State Administrative Agency applies and administers the award. Local, tribal and territorial public safety bodies participate as subapplicants beneath it, which means the practical route for most agencies runs through their state rather than direct to FEMA.
