About Airspace Assurance
Airspace Assurance provides analysis and advisory work on counter-drone detection, regulatory compliance, procurement and funding. This work is aimed at venues, airports, correctional facilities, utilities, industrial sites and the public agencies that work alongside them. Airspace Assurance is a service of Vascoh LLC.
Counter-drone systems divide into two groups that are governed differently. Detection identifies and tracks an aircraft without interfering with it, and private operators can generally deploy it. Mitigation acts on the aircraft, and under current federal rules it is limited to authorised federal agencies and, since 1 July 2026, to eligible state, local, tribal and territorial agencies that hold the relevant certification. Much of our work involves establishing which measures an organisation can actually use and what the applicable requirements are.
Experience and scope
Airspace Assurance is a new advisory business. We have no deployed installations, no certifications of our own, and we do not carry out commissioning or operate systems. Our published research sets out the analysis we have produced on this market and its regulatory framework, and prospective clients can read it to judge the quality of our work.
If a project requires installation, a security clearance, handling of protected information we have not arranged, or a certification that only a federal provider can issue, we will say so and refer the work on where we can.
How we are paid
By the organisation we advise. We do not resell equipment, hold a product line, or take commission or referral fees from suppliers.
This matters in counter-drone procurement because the deepest technical knowledge usually sits with the companies selling the systems, and the rules on what an agency may acquire are set in federal lists rather than in product literature. Specification and evaluation advice is more useful from someone with no product to place.
